Harmony Icelandics offers a lesson program for beginning and intermediate riders, a breeding program, and desires to help others in the area find the right Icelandic horse for their needs.

LESSONS

Owner Virginia Lauridsen is a member of the Icelandic Horse Congress and has completed the Riding Badge Program levels 1-7. She and Harmony staff offer lessons to beginning and intermediate riders on stable-owned horses and customer horses.

Virginia will be relocating a couple of her Icelandics to Irish Run in Des Moines. She will be offering lessons on Mondays on Hlér, Gosi or Gnyr. Message or email Virginia for lesson information.

Lessons with Virginia are $60 per hour.
Lessons with Harmony staff are $50 per hour.

Advanced riders may schedule lessons with Guðmundur Skúlason (Mummi) during one of is biannual visits to Iowa.

Lessons with Mummi are $80.

Stallion Gosi frá Lambastöðum IS2001138455 stands at stud at Harmony Icelandics. Gosi is a highly evaluated four-gaited Icelandic, who also carries the gene for pace. Gosi is noted for his superior conformation, earning a score of 8.39. He has an extraordinary mane and tail, calm temperament, smooth tölt and lovely canter, but most impressive is his extremely calm temperament. Gosi has competed in high level shows in both the United States and Iceland, including the 2012 Landsmót. He was awarded first place in T1 (Advanced Tölt) at the 2017 World Ranking Show in Shelbyville, Kentucky. Gosi is available for live cover and AI to registered Icelandic mares.
