Harmony Icelandics offers a lesson program for beginning and intermediate riders, a breeding program, and desires to help others in the area find the right Icelandic horse for their needs.

LESSONS

Owner Virginia Lauridsen is a member of the Icelandic Horse Congress and has completed the Riding Badge Program levels 1-7. She and Harmony staff offer lessons to beginning and intermediate riders on stable-owned horses and customer horses. Lessons with Harmony staff are $50 per hour.

Advanced riders may schedule lessons with Guðmundur Skúlason (Mummi) during one of is biannual visits to Iowa. Lessons with Mummi are $100 per hour or $60 for 30 minutes.

Stallion Gosi frá Lambastöðum stands at stud at Harmony Icelandics. Gosi is a four-gaited  Icelandic, noted for his superior conformation, extraordinary mane and tail, calm temperament, smooth tölt and lovely canter. Gosi has competed in high levels in four gait classes at sport competitions in Iceland and the United States.

Harmony Icelandics is proud to work with Hallkelsstaðahlíð, a breeding and training farm located on 10,000 acres of Iceland’s most beautiful countryside, to breed and import horses for sale. Hallkelsstaðahlíð foals 10-12 Icelandics each year, with breeding goals of producing well-tempered, talented horses which are easy to train and handle.
